The children were totally enthralled throughout and us adults loved it too! We take our boys to lots of children’s theatre and this was definitely the best production we’ve seen. Thank you so much for giving us such high quality entertainment which we will remember for a very long time.

We LOVE Tall Stories… Over the years we have had rather a lot of ‘in school’ theatre performances.
They have all ranged in quality – and all of value – BUT nothing comes close to the outstanding professional theatricality of the Tall Stories performance – Emily Brown and the Thing. We had a KS1 and KS2 performance and the show proved superbly versatile for the entire school – speaking to both age ranges beautifully.

Sudbourne Primary School

One of the best children’s shows we’ve seen in years. Great cast, great interpretation of the story, and REALLY fun and entertaining. Can’t recommend it enough.

We went as a family with our 4 year old and 15 month old who both sat mesmerised through the whole show. It really was acting at its best.

This morning I went to Chipping Norton Theatre and conquered my fear of really crummy clap-along children’s theatre by watching an utterly brilliant production. Emily Brown and The Thing – what an utterly delightful, funny, imaginative, exciting, enchanting (I could go on…) piece of children’s theatre.

I took my 3 year-old to see the show and to say that he enjoyed it is a massive understatement. In fact, he refused to leave the theatre. He cried all the way to the car because the show was finished. He was completely bewitched. I also loved it.

A fantastic show for all ages – our group from 18months to 69 years old were enthralled from start to finish! The highlight of the fringe for us this year!

This was a wonderful show that we all (6,9 & 44yrs) LOVED!! Not familiar with the books, which didn’t matter. A perfect mix of imaginative story telling, wild adventures, comedy, lovely songs and excellent puppetry.

I just wanted to say how much myself and my 2 kids (5&7) enjoyed the show. I’ve seen a number of kiddies productions, some better than others, and this was the best! And it’s always good to see a female protagonist being strong and brave and resourceful. Well done!

Well done for adapting a wonderful book into an equally wonderful play… Further praise comes from my 3 year old who has been behaving rather like Emily Brown since Saturday!
